Stef got her start on stage, launching both her training and professional acting career in theatre. Her first role was a small part in Breath Boom by Kia Corthron at the Studio Theater in Washington, D.C. From there, she went on to appear in a wide range of stage productions, including Sweet Maladies at Brava Theater in San Francisco—where her performance as Mary earned her a Theatre Bay Area Award nomination. She’s also played Belle in the American Conservatory Theater’s beloved annual production of A Christmas Carol, and took on the role of Marianne in Tartuffe during Temple Repertory’s inaugural season.

Stef made her on-screen debut as Yolanda Kipling in the Netflix Original The Get Down, created and directed by Baz Luhrmann. She’s since appeared on television shows like Cherish the Day (created by Ava DuVernay) and All Rise on CBS.

On the film side, Stef has taken on bold roles in indie features like Skin in the Game and BORN 2 LOSE. Up next, you can catch her as Jenna in Transplant, directed by Jason Park.
